AC Litigation Support Expert Witness
Giles Consulting will meet with the legal team and review brief to determine nature and extent of requirement. This will dictate the degree of evidence and documentation required, which will be agreed at the meeting conclusion.
A desktop study and possibly a vessel inspection will be undertaken, the main body of the investigation will include the detailed examination of specifications, calculations, drawing, photographic evidence and any other material deemed relevant.
A comprehensive report will then be produced; this would clearly define the involved issues and conclusions drawn. If required, a written expert witness statement will be produced, which will incorporate as necessary, any calculations, drawings, photographs and equipment specifications to facilitate cross-referencing information.
During the arbitration proceedings Giles Consulting will provide an expert witness who will be cross-examined by the various parties. As the case progresses, they will also, if required, provide information for the lawyer to assist with a greater understanding of the issue during the cross-examination of the other parties' witnesses.
